New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani reportedly unveiled a bold new housing vision this week after declaring profit immoral and announcing the city will replace every landlord with a single, all-powerful government office, sources have confirmed.
According to aides, Mamdani’s administration believes housing should no longer be treated as shelter, investment, or property, but as “a shared emotional experience.”
When critics asked who would pay for renovations, landscaping, or emergency repairs, Mamdani’s Rent Tsar allegedly snapped, “That’s not the point.
The point is control.”
Officials reassured residents that maintenance will be handled by a rotating committee of interns, activists, and a state board deciding whether hot water is a “capitalist luxury.”
Broken elevators will reportedly be addressed during quarterly listening sessions, while mold complaints will be reframed as “community biodiversity.”
Landlords, now relieved of responsibility, were told they may apply for permission to feel guilty.
“Why would private owners maintain anything?” one official allegedly asked.
“They’re no longer allowed to own it.”
Furniture upgrades will be issued based on need, compliance, and vibes, with couches approved once residents demonstrate proper gratitude.

MADMAN Karl Marx was a very lazy person. His Friends and Family helped pay for housing and food for his Wife and seven Children. Four Children died from severe poverty and starvation. His Family and Frienda said he was mentally ill and lazy. He openly mocked religion especially Christianity. His beliefs on Social classes meant he wanted the wealthy to be forced to distribute all their wealth to all people… like him… who was a lazy philosopher. He cheated on his Wife and had a Child with his Families Maid. During Marx time, there were no social programs like we have today.
